Human Resources Coordinator, Corporate Office, Woolloongabba

This is a 12 Months Fixed Term appointment.

Stadiums Queensland (SQ) has been established by the Queensland Government to manage, operate and promote the use of the State’s major sports, recreation and leisure facilities. SQ is a statutory body overseen by a Board of Directors and has responsibility for the following venues:
• The Brisbane Cricket Ground (the Gabba);
• Suncorp Stadium;
• Sleeman Sports Complex;
• Brisbane Entertainment Centre;
• Queensland Sport and Athletics Centre;
• Dairy Farmers Stadium;
• Skilled Park;
• Queensland Tennis Centre; and
• Gold Coast Stadium (under construction).

SQ has an opportunity for a service focussed and energetic Human Resources Coordinator to provide generalist support to aspects of the Human Resources function.

Classification
SQ AO3 - Plus employer contributed superannuation, minimum 9%

The above appointment will be in accordance with the General Staff Certified Agreement 2003 and other relevant Stadiums Queensland policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
The key responsibilities for this role are:
• Provision of professional and friendly service and HR advice to our workforce
• Delivery of strong administrative support to HR team
• Assess current operational practices and recommend improvements
• Assist with staff inductions and recruitment
• Maintain and update the Human Resources Information System
• Prepare and distribute HR related correspondence
• Assist the Learning and Development Leader with the management of training materials
• Assist in the Payroll processing

Selection Criteria
To be considered, candidates should be able to demonstrate that they meet the following selection criteria:
• Friendly and positive natured, providing outstanding customer service
• Demonstrated Microsoft office and administration skills
• Good understanding of Human Resources functions and practices
• Eye for detail and demonstrated accuracy in both literacy and numeracy
• Team player, obliging nature and reliable

• Relevant tertiary qualifications desirable but not essential

• Ability to effectively analyse and report on information and trends
• Maintenance and currency of the Human Resources Information System
• Participation in workforce planning and driving organisational capability
• Creation of traineeship, apprenticeship and practical placement initiatives
• Design of and continually enhancement of the organisation induction process and on the job training
